We just completed what I trust was a God-honoring and life-changing JAM Camp at the Athletes in Action Sports Complex & Retreat Center in Xenia, Ohio. Our forty-eight athletes experienced an intense schedule of events focused on strengthening their relationship with Jesus, their Athletic excellence, and their journey towards Manhood.
The theme for JAM Camp was taken from Colossians 3:23,
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
It’s for HIM is what we pray the lives of our athletes and staff will reflect as a result of camp. The “it” is whatever we do, be it sports, school or our other pursuits and the “HIM” is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mentors and athletes were encouraged to build upon brotherhoods formed and topics discussed at camp.
Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
We’re so thankful for the many who contributed through prayer, recruitment and financially to allow high school and rising college students from Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama to attend camp.
Plans are in work for next year’s camp which will be held June 18 – June 23. We solicit your prayers and consideration for how God might use you to contribute to sending someone to next year’s JAM Camp.
